How To Index Mac Volumes For Windows In Parallels

When I started the system, I created a partition for Windows and used Parallels to get to it. I don't use it, and need to remove it (windows and the partition). I have read and tried stuff from the numerous posts about partitions, including going back to my install disk, but I can't find anything that will seem to work, short of erasing my whole disk and starting over.
Can anyone tell me how I can remove the Windows (XP) and all the two programs in the partition, and then remove the partition?

Parallels is a Virtualisation tool, not a partition manager; Windows 7 is probably running from an image file stored on your OS X partition; by definition a 'clean' install will wipe OS X. “Parallels Toolbox for Mac received an outstanding response after its initial launch last August, so we decided to bring these time-saving benefits to Windows users,” said Jack Zubarev.
