The best advice I can probably give is for you to look for and ask for tips and advice in the Parallels Mac forum:
You will absolutely need to run antivirus and antispyware software in Windows, just as you would any other Windows system. You'll also want to have plenty of RAM in your system so that you don't strangle either Windows or Mac OS X. I'd recommend having at least 8GB in your Mac if possible. How much you can allocate to Windows will depend on what version you have; the 32-bit version can't access more than about 3.2GB of RAM no matter how much you allocate in Parallels.
Otherwise, my experience is that in general Parallels Desktop is quite easy and straightforward to set up and run, so your experience is quite likely to be good.

It's hard to pull up a definitive list, but I'd say based on my experience that any Mac sold in the last five years should be fine. See below for how to run the compatibility checker if you're in any doubt (note that your Mac will need to already be running Windows 7/8.1 to do this).

Windows 10 is not officially supported by Boot Camp, but everything seems to work just fine. In fact, it's probably one of the best systems that I've run Windows 10 on, and I'm not alone in thinking that.

By default Boot Camp suggests you give Windows 16GB of disk space, but I recommend upping that to 25GB to give your installation room to breathe.

Give Windows 10 at least 2GB of RAM, but if you're a high-roller and have a Mac with 8GB or 16GB of RAM then I suggest giving Windows 10 at least 4GB. That's basically the only thing that I've noticed make any difference with how smooth the OS runs.

Only if you care about your data. I've done a lot of installs and reinstalls and not lost any data, but I also make sure I have a backup just in case things go wrong.
